The Basic Income Research Group (BIRG) promotes debate on the desirability and feasibility of a Basic Income by commissioning, publishing and disseminating research, and by engaging with political and community leaders at all levels of society. BIRG is independent of all political parties and it is not a pressure group or a campaigning organisation.
A Basic Income is a regular, secure cash payment delivered to individual citizens with no means test or work requirement
